It's a tough job having to travel to the coast each weekend and preach the gospel, but somone has to do it. Thank the Lord I get to do that!
The Lord has indeed provided us with a unique ministry opportunity in Salter Path, N.C. This ministry is unique in many ways. First, it is outside right on the intercoastal waterway with about 8 steps that lead down to a "built-in baptismal pool". Second, it is a ministry that reaches out and invites people to come just as they are. After all, we are outside at the beach, so beach attire is expected. Last, you will see people dressed in shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops, walking to service with their beach chair and bible or driving down in their golf cart.
Attendance usually runs somewhere between 20-70 friends and guests.
Additional seating is available at the picnic tables (under tents when weather gets warmer). We also provide some bibles for those who happen not to have one.
